Dr. Baxter chose the field of medicine because of his profound desire to make people whole again. Throughout his years of surgical training, his focus has been to alleviate pain and to provide solutions to physical problems that are often overwhelming. This drive has become the cornerstone of his medical practice.
Born and raised in Alabama, he earned both his Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Engineering) and his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He moved to Texas for his surgical residency and trained at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
Dr. Baxter is married and has one daughter. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. His hobbies include biking, board games, and baking.
Dr. Baxter considers it a great honor to be a surgeon. He also understands the importance of getting to know his patients prior to surgery. His passion is to serve them through cutting-edge technology, steady hands, and a caring heart.
